For you, your children and your grandchildren

For you, your children and your grandchildren

As a professional wedding and portrait photographer it is my goal and task to create beautiful images that enrich people's lives. Any photograph I make is unique. In particular because they capture fleeting moments and emotions. We all love looking back at images from the past as they help us to relive those moments and connect with the people that matter most to us.

Today we not only have amazing cameras and software that allow us to create stunning portraits, we also have a growing number of exquisite art work products that these photos can be transformed into.

When you see an article or anything that has both text and images in it, even if it's just one, don't you feel attracted by the image(s) first? That's the power photographs have! And wouldn't you agree that printed images, in any form, standout from the countless numbers of photos we have on our hard drives and smartphones in this digital age? There are just waaaay too many, they will all lose relevance at some point and will be forgotten. Not only that, but maybe all you received from your photographer after your wedding or a family portrait session was a disc with digital files on it. What do you do with them currently? How do you access them on a regular basis? How much do they impact your life in this way? How much joy do they bring you? What if that CD gets lost, or your hard drive crashes?

We have seen floppy discs come and go. We are experiencing the disappearance of CDs and DVDs right now. Stop and consider for a moment that very soon you won't be able to view your wedding images on your disc anymore! Some of the newest computers don't even have a regular USB-port anymore! This is to be taken seriously. Digital mediums come and go.

It is becoming clearer and clearer to me how valuable and important tangible photo products are. Heirloom albums, canvases, framed prints and many other forms of art work not only allow you to experience and access your precious images in the absolute best way, but also your children and their children. One day that's all they'll have to cherish when it comes to viewing images of their dearest family members and loved ones.

Being a full service photographer I believe in offering my clients the best and long lasting solutions, so they can actually enjoy their portraits and images in the form of high-quality art work that will beautify their homes and lives on a daily basis.

Below you can see an example of a heirloom album from a wedding in Rockport, MA. It's 12x12", lay flat and flush mount, with thick pages. You can choose from different cover materials and colors, embossed with your personal information. A very high-quality feel. Guaranteed wow-factor!

Boston Athenaeum Engagement Session

Boston Athenaeum Engagement Session

It was a very cold day but that was not why I was happy to be in the warm Athenaeum in Boston. I was thrilled to be there photographing Samantha and Brian’s engagement session, who dressed to the nines beautifully complimented the rich interior of the Athenaeum. As a librarian on Cape Ann, the location was perfectly chosen by Samantha to capture them and their love. The glamorous location felt like a teaser for their upcoming wedding this year at the elegant Castle Hill in Ipswich. A special thanks to Deborah at the Athenaeum for showing us all the best corners.

Malia's High School Senior Portraits

Malia's High School Senior Portraits

Just to make it clear, Malia is not a model. She currently visits the High School in Gloucester, MA. She did need some time to warm up and relax, like everybody else in front of the camera. But she started to work the camera quickly and I'd say Mary Kay should hire her sooner than later. Enjoy her High School Senior photos which come from two sessions: The first session took place in Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA, mainly at Singing Beach. The Fall portraits were created at the Halibut Point State Park in Rockport, MA. And the red make-up from her summer session was applied by Caitlin Pszenny (Kreitman), a Mary Kay beauty consultant.

Corryn's High School Senior Portraits

I had the great pleasure to create Corryn's portraits for her last high school year as a senior. Creating the right environment for someone, especially a young person, to feel comfortable in front of the camera is likely the best compliment for me. And I feel this is reflected in her senior portraits. They were taken in downtown Gloucester, MA and at the harbor. Enjoy!

Who needs LA if you can live in Gloucester

Who needs LA if you can live in Gloucester

Ashley and Jeff are likely among the most awesome people in Gloucester, MA. While Jeff is a local, Ashley had to live in Miami, move to and work in LA before she realized Cape Ann is where she belongs. Who could blame her?! Jeff has been a long term member of the Bass Rocks Golf Club, so it was only fitting to use this great venue with its fantastic location as the place where they would tie the knot. Fun was in the air from the very beginning of the day. And after documenting their engagement last Fall at Good Harbor Beach (check out their engagement images here), I knew their wedding was going to be a wicked blast. And they didn't disappoint. These two love birds and their many guests had positivity radiating from them the whole day long. And I don't recall many wedding shoots where I found so many people giving 110% on the dance floor for hours on end. I wish you all the best throughout your marriage. You guys kick ass! Here's the video slideshow of their highlights.

Shining Souls Within

Shining Souls Within

The weather was starting to get warmer, and Rachel and Mark and myself decided it was finally time to visit the beautiful Castle Hill on Crane Estate in Essex, MA to document their engagement with some special portraits of the two of them. In the early morning of a Monday we had the place just for ourselves. I personally love Castle Hill anyway, but I feel it was such a good location for Rachel and Mark. I had come to know that they are far more interested in the humanities and how life works, than in spending lots of time online or social media. Crane Estate, with its vastness and old building construction, wonderfully reflects and accommodates this. And as our engagement session went on, they were able to express their love for each other more and more in front of the camera while they were discovering the beauty and new renovations of this classic venue. Additionally, Rachel had expressed her concern for not being photogenic during our first consulation meeting for their wedding, but I have to say I cannot confirm this whatsoever! Find out for yourself in the images below. Click here to see the video slideshow of their highlights. Enjoy!

From New York to Gloucester

Katlin and Nate's wedding took place on a beautiful summer day in Gloucester, MA, which is part of Cape Ann in the very east of the Boston North Shore. Both live in upstate New York but have family connections in Gloucester. It was an amazing day and the weather was truly on our side. Katlin arrived at the St. Anthony Chapel, where they would get married, in a gorgeous old Rolls Royce limousine. The reception then took place at The Elks at Bass Rocks, just a few minutes away at the East Gloucester back shore. What a wonderful location! Lots of laughter, touching moments and hard partying made it such a great occasion.
While a wedding day is a day of celebrations, it can be stressful as well. Katlin and Nate handled it like pros, yet they were really relaxed and fully enjoyed their special day.
